Double Dip the Chip

Think twice about dipping that corn chip in the salsa.

I'm Xenu - who the hell are you

Nancy Cartwright - the voice of Bart Simpson, lost brownie points in my books for this.

But I've been watching Simpsons from day 1, so I can't really stop 19 years of the show... D'oh!

If you're going to give away $11 million to some crap religion based on a science fiction novel, how about giving the money to me? I can do the Dr Spook hand gesture!

Triple J Hottest 100 2007

Yay! Muse beat Silverchair.

The only personal beef I have against the 'chair is that ever since Neon Ballroom - they went soft.

As a friend told me that she saw what was printed on a t-shirt at the Big Day Out: "Frogstomp or Fuck Off!"

And the winner is - Beta???

This is still majorly debatable - but it appears Blu-Ray is winning at the moment in the war of Pepsi V Coke, VHS V Beta, Blu-Ray V HD-DVD.

The newly updated list of distribution companies on what goes on what now confirms Warner Bros are on the Blu-Ray bandwagon.

But now Toshiba - the major backers of HD-DVD, have decided to stab Sony - the backers of Blu-Ray, in its kidneys and slash prices of their HD-DVD players, with some starting from $200 a unit.

Bargain :)

Hairdresser's dream

Poor guy - the world's hairiest man in 2002 according to Guinness, broke up with his partner of 3 years, still trying to find a missus.
Maybe he should get with a hairdresser, or someone who makes wigs.
Keep trying buddy.

It's Good News Week!!!

IT'S BACK!!!

Quote from media release:

EVERYTHING old is new again in TV land with Channel Ten dusting off Good News Week for another innings starting in February.

Former host Paul McDermott is back at the helm directing the weekly news traffic, just as he did during the heyday of the '90s satire hit.

The one-time member of The Doug Anthony Allstars told Qconfidential the time is ripe for the return of GNW.

"I think most of the ideas and games we had originally are still going to hold true," Paul said. "We'll add some new pieces as we go along . . . one of the joys of the shows is that it was constantly evolving."

The original GNW screened on the ABC before defecting to Ten – where it was shelved in late 2000 – with team leaders Julie McCrossin and Mikey Robbins and regular guests Natasha Stott Despoja, Adam Spencer, Amanda Vanstone and Rove McManus. And who can forget Bronwyn Bishop, who was a big no-show after doing a runner from the make-up chair.

"We've been talking about some of the show regulars and many want to come back but there's a whole new crop of comedians and performers who haven't had the opportunity," Paul explained.

And here's some stuff to refresh your memory.

Abandoned Theme Parks

Been out of action the last few days due to an injury, but slowly crawling my way back up.

Found this on Zgeek - Abandoned Theme Parks which reminds me of my own childhood theme park Australia's Wonderland... which decided to sell out to Japanese bastard business owners and sell the land for a business park and the M7.

Pricks.

Still Remembering Phil Hartman

May 28 this year will mark a 10 year anniversary of the death of Phil Hartman.

His death was comedies loss as to what Kurt Cobain was to grunge.

I couldn't wait until the official anniversary, but here's a clip from the first episode of Season 5 of NewsRadio which Phil starred in. His character Bill McNeal had to be written out. The actors in this were really crying. Raw emotion.

I still miss him. RIP

Harry Shearer's Damn Channel

When Harry Shearer was out in Australia in October 2007, he heavily promoted the website My Damn Channel - which is a good watch.

Harry has his own channel on there. Click here to view all his videos. Makes me wonder how he gets time to make these things while filming and doing Simpsons.

I recommend watching the Crescent City Stories series - about life and time that goes on in New Orleans after Hurrican Katrina. Very heartwrenching.

Attack of the pirates

Want to know what the most downloaded songs were in 2007?

In this case, they deserve to be given out for free and not made money on.

The genre was mainly US Rap, with Shop Boyz, Akon, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, DJ Unk, Soulja Boy, Mims, and Sean Kingston.

Movies: You'd think Spiderman 3 or Shrek 3. Wrong - it was Resident Evil: Extinction. Also making the pirated movie list was Superbad, Pirates of the Carribean 3, Chuck & Larry, Superbad and Ratatouille.

TV Shows: These are obvious (yet I have not watched any of these shows) - Heroes, Prison Break, Top Gear, Smallville and Desperate Housewives.

Linkage..

Human Tetris / Hole In The Wall

Channel Nine are bringing this to Australia. Don't know whether it is the Japanese version, or an Aussie version - but it'll be funny!

Here's the Japanese version.

It'll be the only show I watch on Channel Nine!
