I'm going to give these guys a plug here.

Not because they've been around for a few years.

Not because the female guitar player is a friend of mine.

Not because they 'released' this song in 2005, but didn't get commercial release until now.

Not because they used to be called "The Spark", but a band in America with the same name threatened to sue them or some shit like that.

But because they're cool.

Here's an idea for you.

Scenario: You're at home. Bored shitless. You've watched all your DVDs or there's nothing in your collection that appeals to you at this present time. You have a small mount of money - not enough to buy a new DVD though. What do you do?

Answer: Head down to your local video store, and go to your TV on DVD section. Now cast yourself back to a time in your life where there was a TV show that was all hyped up when the first broadcast happened, but you were too young to watch it and understand the storyline. Once you've figured that out, hire the first season.

In this case, this happened to me on the weekend. I wondered around the TV section at my local Blockbuster Video and I noticed "Twin Peaks" which I've NEVER seen before. All I remember is that it was very hyped and critically acclaimed when it was first broadcasted in 1990, but I was too young to understand the show. So I bit the bullet and hired out the first 2 discs of the 1st season, just incase I didn't like it. I got home, sat down and watched the first two episodes, and loved it! Now I'm 1/2 way through the 2nd season and really addicted to the show. Pity it only lasted 2 seasons and a movie.

If you get stuck for choice, I recommend you watching Deadwood, Rome, Dexter, or even picking up The Sopranos from Season 1.

Give it a shot.

FYI - I don't watch Lost, Prison Break, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, etc... too overhyped.

Being a fan of former pinup girl Imogen Bailey (I had a whole fan site dedicated to her in my early 20s and met her about 3 times - stalker?? nah), she has joined the cast of Neighbours as Nicola West, the sister of Miranda Parker (played by Nikki Coghill).

This makes me think, Neighbours gets all the hot chicks on the show - which I do enjoy - but is Imogen's character's name a tribute to two previous hot women on the show?

I was looking for a cartoon that I watched years ago. Can't remember if it was an old repeat or a new cartoon (at the time) but all I remember was '..and the crowd goes wild! - YAY!' and a cow constantly repeating 'moo moomoomoo moo moo moomoomoo...moo'.

I stumbled across Tom Slick. Not sure if it was a Tom Slick cartoon, but I have a feeling it is.

Apparently Vodafone Australia have already put their hand up to become Australia's answer to AT&T and release the iPhone in Australia.

Honestly, I would've thought Telstra would get their greasy mitts on it and destroy anyone's chances on getting the phone on their outrageous phone deals.

We'll just have to wait to see how Vodafone treats it.
